Welcome to Mayorcity E-Mart ("we", "us", "the platform"). By creating an account or using this site, you agree to the terms below. Please read them before signing up.
Mayorcity E-Mart is intended for verified students of the campus community it serves. During sign-up, you'll be asked to provide your name, matric number, department, level, phone number, and a photo of your student ID card so an admin can confirm you're a genuine student. Accounts that fail verification, or are found to have submitted false information, may be rejected or suspended.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.
Only verified accounts may post "For Sale" listings. Anyone — verified, pending, or signed out — may browse listings and submit Lost & Found reports. You agree that everything you post is accurate, that you own or have the right to sell any item you list, and that you won't post anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit, hazardous, or otherwise prohibited by campus rules or Nigerian law.
Posting a "For Sale" listing carries a small, non-refundable listing fee (currently ₦200), paid via Paystack before the listing goes live. This fee covers posting the listing itself and does not guarantee a sale. See our Refund Policy for full details on when refunds may apply.
Mayorcity E-Mart is a listing platform only — we are not a party to any transaction between a buyer and seller, and we don't handle payment, delivery, or exchange of items between users. All negotiations and exchanges happen directly between users (typically via WhatsApp), at their own risk. We strongly recommend meeting in safe, public, on-campus locations and inspecting items before paying.
Admins and moderators may review, hide, or remove listings; suspend or reject accounts; and take other action necessary to keep the platform safe, including in response to user reports of fraud, harassment, or prohibited items. Repeated violations may result in permanent suspension.
The platform is provided "as is." We do our best to verify students and moderate listings, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any listing, the identity or conduct of any user, or the outcome of any transaction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mayorcity E-Mart and its founder are not liable for losses, disputes, or damages arising from your use of the platform or interactions with other users.
We may update these terms from time to time as the platform grows. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
